Tyler D Friedson
Tyler was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. His parents owned a truck accessory store, and during his teenage years he spent most of his summers taking an orbital sander to truck beds. Tyler received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and later earned his Juris Doctor degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.
During his time in law school, Tyler spent two semesters with the St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice representing indigent clients in family law cases. He also spent two semesters on the St. Mary’s National Dispute Resolution Team honing his negotiation skills.
Tyler chose to pursue a legal career in family law because he wants to help people with their most personal problems. On the client side, Tyler is empathetic, and able to intuitively understand each person’s perspective. He anticipates the needs of his clients and gives voice to their emotions. With opposing counsel, Tyler is friendly and respectful, striking the balance between professional and personable. When working on cases, Tyler enjoys the strategizing; sorting through the clutter and finding the best legal solution to meet his clients’ goals.
When not at work, Tyler likes playing board games, going to the movies, and trying new restaurants.
